Zojirushi NS-TGC10 Rice Cooker

I really hate making rice. I can never get it right, it seems. Most of the time i just burn it, and the it's a total waste of both the rice and in some cases the pan too. After i burned a good pan so bad i couldn't even clean it, i decided enough is enough; let's look for a rice cooker. I know i wanted a machine that could make quite a lot of rice, as i sometimes need to make a lot when my family visits. So i went online, and started looking through what rice cookers were available online. I found this Zojirushi NS-TGC10 review, and it did indeed look good, so i decided to research it further.

As I've already told you, the NS-TGC10 can handle a lot of rice. 5 and 1/2 cup to be exact. Furthermore it has an advanced MICOM (Micro computerized) fuzzy logic technology, which automatically adjust cooking time and temperature. This comes in really handy for me as I tend to forget the time when I'm cooking rice. Even if i totally forget the time, the rice cooker has a "keep warm" function that will make sure the rice will be kept warm for an extended period. It's also easy to clean, and the inner lid is even detachable to make cleaning even more convenient.

The Zojirushi NS-TGC10 cooks a variety of rice (white, sushi, brown,sweet etc) and can even make rice cakes and porridge. The thick black cooking pan together with the heating system provides even heat to ensure perfectly cooked rice. The Zojirushi also comes with an easy to use LCD control panel, and even interchangeable melodies to let you know the cooking is done. How cute is that?

So what are others saying about this rice cooker? I browsed over to amazon, and found out that the rice cooker to date holds a 4-1/2 star rating out of 86 reviews. That does indeed sounds pretty good to me.

Most people are raving about how easy it is to use, how logical the control panel is, and most of all how good the rice cooker is at making different kinds of rice. The retractable power chord also gets a lot of praise, as well as the non stick coating of the cooking pan.

The few negatives i could find was some people complaining about having to clean the inner lid after each cooking. It's still beats cleaning out a pan with burned rice for me. I'm sold!

I've concluded the following after having researched the Zojirushi NS-TGC10:

• Can succesfully cook both smaller and larger quantities of rice

• makes darn good rice!
